lack of mandalas?!

Tue Jan 3, 2006, 9:10 AM
aack, there is a lack!

i keep trying to get some more mandalas done for you to color and use however you wish. BUT, my babe has decided she is going to skip turning 15 months, and go straight to 3 years. not kidding. she's physically able to do far, far more than she is emotionally ready to handle, and especially doesn't understand WHY she can't do things she's able to do. like put the cat in the refigerator. she's either broken or figured out every baby-proofing device on the market. (even Mag-locks open if you rattle the cabinet really hard.) so i'm turning to DUCT TAPE. it's the only thing she hasn't defeated yet. go, duct tape!

i'll get some mandalas up as soon as i can. in the meantime, don't forget [link] he (she? name's Ricky) sells them now, but still has about 45+ free ones on the preview pages.

You have a very unique talent....I grew up with mandalas in many facets of my life and now my children enjoy them. Please keep up the wonderful work, thank you for sharing, and I think a book would be an awesome thing.

I love your mandalas. I'm inspired to print one or two out and see what happens, but I already have too many projects of my own underway:) I'd love to see some of yours that you've finished w/ color, if you have any images.

i just found two programs for the Mac that let me draw mandalas by mirroring the axes, i also found a tesselation program. i've been drawing mandalas by hand for years, thousands of them, i always leave them blank and color them in later, or let others color them in. i prefer to let other people interpret what my mandalas should look like! i might put together a coloring book someday. the "goddess mandala" is a very rough sketch, a start. i love, love, LOVE drawing mandalas. it is so relaxing, so centering. especially if i'm creating something for someone else to finish, i feel like i'm opening a door.
